
Walter Patrick McKeough, Sr. – an 80 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. He retired from the City of Mobile Public Works Department as a supervisor after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with service in Korea and was a member of the V.F.W. and Marine Corps League. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. McKeough was an avid Alabama fan and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Vincent McKeough and Ann Elizabeth Reiman McKeough;brothers, Frank and Henry McKeough; sisters, Thelma Valentine and Mary Molyneux; and grandson, Thomas Butler. Mr. McKeough is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Butler McKeough; children, Julie Johnson (Henry), Theresa Butler (Harry, Jr.), Walter Patrick McKeough, Jr. (Sarah), and Andrew McKeough (Amy); grandchildren, Kristie Cooper, Rick Brown, Jacob Butler, Hayden McKeough, Mary Grace McKeough, Kendyl McKeough, and Kamden McKeough; great-grandchildren, Lucy Cooper, Zachary Cooper, Alex Brown and Bradley Brown; sister, Annie Simms; brother-in-law, Paul Butler (Barbara); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, from 5-8 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.pinecrestfuneralhome.com.
