Wayne Compton Smith – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at home. He was a graduate of B.C. Rain High School, a member of the Guy T. Smith Lodge and the Scottish Rite Mobile Valley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Smith; and grandmother, Irene Dunlap. Survivors include his father, John E. Smith; one son, Brian Smith; one brother, Steven A. Smith; two grandchildren, Chance and Collin Smith; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Graveside services and interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital Transportation Department.
