Wesley Edward Jones

Wesley Edward Jones, 66, of Mobile, AL passed away on December 24, 2017. He was born in Pittsfield, MA, and grew up in Rome, GA. He attended Berry Academy, Georgia State University and Georgia College , where he earned an MBA. He was retired from the University System of Georgia and the Pensacola Police Department. Mr. Jones was also formerly the Controller at Spring Hill College in Mobile. He was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church and member of a Mystic Society. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Pauline Jones and his son, Keith. He is survived by his wife Martha, his son, Wayne of Dallas, GA, his sister, Nancy Jones of Rome, GA, and his step-daughter, Rachel (Jeff) Lovingood of Fairhope, AL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Weston Jones, J.D. Lovingood and Rose Lovingood and extended family and friends. Family visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018, in the parish hall at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1900 Dauphin St, Mobile. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Bailey Norman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, to the Pastoral Care Department at UAB Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
