

He was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. He attended Murphy High School and Southwest State Technical College. He served in the Army National Guard. He had a furniture restoration business, The Chair Shop that specialized in caning. He served as the sound technician at multiple churches for many years. He had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Robert and Dolores McAdams Battiste, grandparents Arnold Mack McAdams and Siddie Fontaine McAdams, his aunt Virginia McAdams Walton and a cousin Terry Richard Walton. He is survived by his cousins Diane Summers, David Walton, Mark Walton, Lynda Barkley, Tommy Trott, special friend Ginny Morris and other extended family and friends.
Services will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, on Monday, February 2, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
