William Bill R. Croy

Mr. William R. “Bill” Croy – 85, a resident of Mobile, AL died peacefully on January 6, 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a long time active member of First Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Maurine Croy; two sons and two daughters, Phil (Julie) Croy of San Francisco, Bob Croy of Atlanta, Marie (Robert) Atchison of Birmingham, and Tricia (Bill) Benton of Mobile; seven grandchildren Kelly (Mike) Jones, Kasey (Mickey) Cochran, Krissy (Stacey) Hipp all of Mobile, Jason (Michelle) Atchison of Birmingham, Brian (Nicki) Atchison of Tuscaloosa, and Lucy and Spencer Croy of San Francisco; Eleven great-grandchildren, Bailey and MacKenzey Atchison of Tuscaloosa, Kyle and Max Hipp, Aniston and Ava Cochran, Kylie and Jade Jones all of Mobile, Teri Kate, Robbie, and Jenna Atchison of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Croy. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to his devoted friends and caregivers: Linda, Betty, Leticia, and Hope. Visitation will be Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 12 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
