William Nathan Hamrick, Jr. – October 4, 1965. Preceded in death by parents, William Nathan Hamrick, Sr. and Joanne Partlow Hamrick. Born in Stone Moutain, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at his hunting camp in Bendale, Mississippi. Bill died doing what he loved – he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman for his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, particularly deep-sea fishing, and won several awards for his endeavors. He loved sports, especially Alabama Football (Roll Tide!), and could converse on his interests for hours. He was a good husband, father, brother, and friend, and was very personable. Bill thrived on camaraderie, and was always game to throw a crawfish boil or grill out for his friends – mainly because the man LOVED to cook. He was a member of Local Union 441 in Mobile, and was a very hard worker.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Darcie McLendon Hamrick; two sons, Kyle and Trevor Hamrick; two step-daughters, Andria and Amberly Colvell; one granddaughter; two sisters, Cynthia Hamrick Solomon (Jim) and Joni Hamrick Carter (Allen); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation for Bill will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Bill’s name.
