William Bryan Yost Jr.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Gloria Demeranville Yost, William Bryan Yost, and brother, Robert Gregory Yost. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Yost Grubbs (Tony); his children, Linda Yost Williams (Edward), Elizabeth Yost Jackson (Steven), Mary Katherine Yost Liekweg (Stephen), Margaret Yost French (Josh); his grandchildren, Edward Dickson Williams, III, M.D. (Tammy), Patricia Leatherbury Williams Sappington (Joel), Bryan Harrison Shields Williams, Laurel Ann Jackson, Caroline Cooper Jackson, Celia Rose Jackson, Rory Oliver Abbott, Dylan Murphy Liekweg, Stella Claire Liekweg; six great-grandchildren; and many Demeranville and Forrest family cousins with whom he had lifelong friendships.

Billy will long be remembered for his love of family, flowers, Mobile Mardi Gras, our country and all of its history, Auburn football, and most importantly his lifelong devotion to his Catholic faith.

The family would like to thank Shantel Averhart and the caregivers at Hartland Assisted Living.

Visitation for Mr. Yost will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 10:00 am followed by a mass of Christian burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mulherin Home, 2496 Halls Mill Road, Mobile, AL 36606.
