Winifred Grace Hunnicutt Evans – a 92 year-old native of Meridian, MS and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Mrs. Evans was the last surviving of four daughters born to the late Zachary Taylor Hunnicutt and Martha Jane Watson Hunnicutt. She was a longtime active member of Cody Road Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served in many capacities over the years, including as deaconess. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Fred Elliot Evans. She is survived by two nieces, Sarah Lindsey of Atlanta, GA and Sylvia Richenback of Mobile; nephew, Taylor L. Crawford of Mobile; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Mobile Nursing & Rehabilitaiton for all of their care. Graveside services will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery on Friday, December 2, 2011, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Gary Tracy officiating.
