ANGELO CAPPELLI, 74 passed away peacefully after his courageous battle with cancer on August 24, 2011, with his loving family by his side in Newtown, CT. He was the son of Filippo and Giovanna Poccia Cappelli. He is survived by his devoted wife Antonietta, his three sons and daughter in-laws, Phil & Sarah, John & Debbie, AJ & Gina and his five grandchildren, Katie, Nicholas, Philip, Grace and John Angelo. Angelo loved his family very much and adored spending time with his beloved

grandchildren. Angelo was a carpenter by trade and built a home for his family where they lived for many years in Wilton, CT. After he retired he moved from Wilton to Newtown where he was an avid gardener, fisherman, Milan soccer fan, and wine maker. Angelo was always willing to give a helping hand and will be missed by the many people that he touched. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday August 30th at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church 46 Church Hill Road Newtown. Interment will take place in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery Black Cherry Road, Newtown. Friends may visit Monday August 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Angelo Cappelli’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
