

Anthony was born in Cassano Caudino, located in the Providence of Avellino, Italy on July 30, 1935. He was the son of the late Michael and Bridgida Parrella.
He is survived by his beloved wife Pia of 68 years, and relatives: the late Martino & Anna Parrella of Bridgeport, the late Mariana & Pepe Coletta of Naples, Italy, their three sons, Michele & Carmela Coletta, the late Salvatore (Anna) Coletta, and the late Luciano Coletta of Naples, Italy, Angelina & John Ciocca of Palm Coast, Florida, and Aurelia & Thomas Anastasio of Palm Coast, Florida. Anthony is also survived by his three devoted children, his son, Michael & Ellen Parrella of Bridgeport, two daughters, Anna Viola of Monroe, Barbara Lucas of Fairfield, along with two grandchildren, Kara & Anthony Horvath of Milford, Donny & Ashley Lucas, and his great grandson, Lorenzo of Trumbull, as well as many nieces and nephews.
After moving to Bridgeport, CT from Italy, Anthony worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company for 44 years. He was a dedicated, hard-working father who provided for his family and he was dearly loved by all. Anthony was also an Italian/American singer and song writer who studied voice in Italy and formed a band called “The Continentals.” Additionally, he found great joy in gardening and making homemade wine as well as playing soccer in his younger years and watching professional international soccer. Most importantly, he deeply loved and cherished spending time with his family and friends- while enjoying home cooked meals with them.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Spadaccino & Gallagher Funeral Home, located at 315 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, CT 06468- between the hours of 4 – 7 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM directly at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, CT 06611 with a burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1058 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
