Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and a graduate of Bassick High School, Bob was the beloved son of Dominic and Clementine Purciello. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob's life was centered around his family, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
Affectionately known as "Poppy" to his grandchildren, Bob was a constant source of love, laughter, and support. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, especially when his grandchildren would gather to swim in the pool. Although he wasn't fond of camping, Bob never missed an annual family trip, embracing it wholeheartedly for the sake of being with those he loved most.
Bob had a special gift for making people smile. He was always ready with a joke, a funny story, or a lighthearted comment that lifted the spirits of everyone around him. Along with the love of his family, his passion in life was entertaining people by playing the piano and singing. His warmth and humor will, be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his two sons, Barry Purciello (Meghan Corey) and Brad Purciello (Ariel Carsen); his five beloved grandchildren, Cody Purciello (Bethany), Daniel Purciello (Jodie), Cortney Purciello, Amber Purciello, and Nicole Purciello; and his two great-grandchildren, Leon and Amelia, with another great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his two sisters Joyce Somley and Tina Evan. He was predeceased by his wife, Josie, and his eldest son, Bartholomew Jr.
Following the loss of his son, Bob took great pride in stepping into a fatherly role for his granddaughter Amber, further demonstrating the boundless love and dedication he had for his family. He was a true family man whose presence brought immense joy to all who knew him.
Bob's legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
