She was born on May 5, 1942, in Montclair, NJ. Betty was a beloved mother, grandmother, pianist, creative writer, and most of all: a giver.
She is survived by John, her son; Yuna, her daughter-in-law; Deanna, her daughter; Mario, her son-in-law; Phoebe, her granddaughter; her nieces Erika, Debbie, and her nephew David. Betty was preceded in death by her father J. Albert Durgom, her mother mother Marie, and sisters Carol and Noree.
Betty pursued higher education at Rollins College and went on to have a fulfilling career as a teacher. A private memorial service will be held to honor her life.
