Deborah Ann Croteau

She passed away on Thursday, July 8th at the young age of 61.

The daughter of Eddie Croteau and Rose Zuccarelli and raised by Rocco Zuccarelli Sr., Debbie was born in Bridgeport, CT and graduated from Central High School. She was employed at People’s Bank, Ruby Tuesday’s and the 99 Restaurant of Stratford working as a Bank Teller and a Waitress. Debbie loved the outdoors, enjoying the sun and taking care of her flowers. Debbie loved to surround herself with family and friends. She treasured her family trips to Misquamicut & Port Jefferson every year as well as many other travel destinations over the years. She loved watching scary movies with her daughter on Friday nights and Sunday dinners with her family, mother, and sister. Family time was the most important aspect of her life.

Debbie enjoyed her Sunday morning Bible Studies. She volunteered for cancer walks and helped serve Thanksgiving dinners every year to those less fortunate. She will be remembered for her smile, kindness, and love of all people. She did not judge. She treated and greeted everyone the same whether she knew you for a day or thirty years. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Debbie loved her family and friends dearly and made sure to let them know she did. She also loved her two cats Chuy & Zeke very much.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Rocco Zuccarelli, her daughter, Ashley Zuccarelli, her mother, Rose Zuccarelli, her father, Eddie Croteau, her sisters, Theresa Croteau and Kina Zuccarelli Silva (Mike Silva), her niece’s, Karlie Ortiz and Shane Silva Myers, her nephew, Brion Berrios, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, Rocco Zuccarelli Sr., her grandparents, Lena and John Constantini, and nephew, Wilson Berrios.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 3 PM on Sunday, September 19th at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Words of Remembrance will be shared, concluding with a prayer service, will begin at 2:30pm.
