

Dolores S. Cox age 88, passed away peacefully with her loving family present on November 1, 2017. Born on February 2, 1929. Dolores was originally from New Haven, CT and grew up in Hamden, CT. Dolores attended Hamden High School and worked at GE of Bridgeport, CT as an IBM keypunch Operator. During this time, Dolores was trained in singing, modeling and acting at the Yale Repertoire Theatre. Dolores also appeared in a play on Broadway.
Dolores met the love of her life William (Bill) Cox while working at Winchester arms. Dolores and “Bill” were married on October 3, 1953 and settled in Fairfield, CT
During the 1970’s, Dolores and Bill became active in the Fairfield Republican Town Committee. She was an elected member of the Fairfield Planning and Zoning Commission.
Dolores is survived by her sisters, Beverly Curello and her family of Prospect, CT and Joan Noto and her family of West Yarmouth, Ma.
Dolores is also survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Jack Testani of Trumbull, CT. She adored her two grandsons Alexander Mark Testani of Fairfield, CT and William Jack Testani of New Haven, CT. Dolores also had many nieces and nephews as well as cousins.
Dolores will be remembered for her love of fashion and devotion to her family and friends. Dolores was a very politically savvy and smart woman who was extremely classy and beautiful.
A brief graveside service will be held at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 10 a.m.
