

Todisco, Dominic, age 92, of Huntington died peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT. He was predeceased by his loving wife Christine Ghianuly Todisco, July 22, 2005. Dominic was born Jan 10, 1919 in Fairfield, CT. and was the son of the late Lucca Todisco and Rosa Baldari Todisco. He was a retired manager from McLean Trucking Co. Stratford and Commerce Packaging Stamford. He leaves behind his much loved children Christine Rossney of Fischer, Texas, Patricia Todisco of Easton, Ct., Thomas Todisco of Huntington, CT and Katherine Todisco of Bridgeport; two grandchildren Dena Reardon and Peter Soter of Virginia Beach, VA; two great grandchildren Megan & Logan Reardon of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister Frances LeForce of Bridgeport and brother John Todisco of Fairfield and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Louis Todisco & sisters Christine Frasco and Antoinette Todisco.
Dominic was a WW2 veteran serving from 1941-1945. He served under General Patton in the second armored Division. He took part in all the major campaigns beginning in North Africa, Sicily France and Holland and was part of the Omaha Beach “D” day plus two. Dominic was a hard working and humble man. He will be missed and forever in our hearts and minds. The Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe has been entrusted with the arrangements. Family and friends can attend a memorial prayer @10:30 a.m. and Military Honors Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. that will take place on Saturday May 7th, 2011 at The State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown, CT.
