

Born in Bridgeport, CT, on February 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth Larson.
Elsie graduated from Central High School in 1952. She worked as a legal secretary in Bridgeport before and after her marriage to Ed on November 15th, 1958. They raised their children in Monroe starting in 1961, and Elsie continued to work for Attorneys Walsh and Stein for many years. Elsie and Ed became “snow birds” in 1995 and spent their winters in Beverly Hills, FL, until Ed’s death. Elsie was also one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1980 and was a member of the Trumbull, CT and the Hernando, FL congregations for many years. Her love of the Bible and helping others learn Bible truths gave her life real meaning.
Elsie was a devoted wife to Ed for 62 years until his death in November 2020. She is survived by her grateful children, son Edward Wojna and daughter-in-law Shelly of Beverly Hills, FL and daughter Elaine Sherba and son-in-law Paul, of Ansonia, CT, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph Larson, and sisters Martha Prosser and Florence Burkhardt.
A memorial talk will be given on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 1 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 211 Springhill Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611. Burial will be private and handled by the Spadaccino Funeral Home of Monroe, CT.
