Sokolowski, Franciszek, age 87, of Shelton, passed away on Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Bocki, Poland, he was the son of Cezaria and Jan Sokolowski. He was a resident of Shelton and retired from Alloy Eng after many years. He was a very hardworking person and will be sadly missed by his family. Survivors include his beloved wife Franciszka Stefaniuk Sokolowska, two daughters Jadwiga Kaliszewicz and her husband Waldemar of Poland and Teresa Szerszen and her husband Krzysztof of Shelton; grandchildren Mariusz Kaliszewicz and Monika Rawska and Marta and Malgorzata Szerszen, as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins in the US and Poland. He was predeceased by two sisters Weronika Pietrzykowska and Helena Bolesta, and a brother Antoni Sokolowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 16th, at 10am at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 15th from 4pm-7pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
