Gary R. Svenningsen Sr.

Gary R. Svenningsen Sr., of Oxford, CT, passed away at St. Vincent hospital on Friday, November 12, 2010. He was 61. Born February 28, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT he was the son of the late John Elmer and Dorothy Johnson Svenningsen. Gary grew up in Fairfield and worked for Aquarion Services-WPCA for over 18 years. He was a member of the Milford Elks for over 30 years. He loved his Harley Davidson bike and his 1976 Corvette. He was predeceased by his sister Karen Lacovara.

Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years Donna, his son Gary R. Svenningsen Jr., his wife Dina, grandchildren Jordan and Maddie, adopted son Nick Lampronikos and nieces Christine Wilson and Lisa Burns. Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. We will miss you pop. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 16, 2010 from 4-8Pm at the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 11AM. Interment will be held privately.
