George Spadaccino

George P. Spadaccino, age 96 of Bridgeport, died Saturday, September 18, 2010. Born September 9, 1914 in Bridgeport, CT his was the son of the late Pasquale and Catherine Spadaccino. George was a Funeral Director for the Spadaccino Funeral Home in Bridgeport. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Raphael’s and St. Margaret’s Holy Family. He was a member of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association for over 50 years. George was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife Rose Spadaccino. He is survived by his sons Dick Spadaccino and Robert and his wife, Marie Spadaccino; grandchildren Bob P. Spadaccino, Nancy Vaine and Laurie Spadaccino; two step grandchildren, Christine Northrop and Lisa LaBaire and her husband Chris; three step-greatgrandchildren Brittney, Devan and Cameron. His sister Edith Campbell and sister-in-law Helen Spadaccino also survive him. He was predeceased by his brothers Salvatore, Patrick, Nicholas and Albert Spadaccino; his sisters Sally Degner, Lena Spadaccino, daughter-in-law Sandra Spadaccino and step-grandson Rob Northrop. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday September 22, 2010 at 10 am in St. Margaret’s Shrine, 2539 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may call Tuesday September 21, 2010 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
