Harvey John Brown, age 100, of Monroe, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He is now with his beloved wife, Rose Irene. Their 73-year marriage was filled with love. Harvey was born on May 21, 1916. He was the son of Harvey and Estelle Brown. Harvey loved camping and fishing with his family, as well as cheering for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the sidelines of their sporting events. He is survived by his devoted son Harvey and daughter-in-law, Jane, of Monroe; his loving grandchildren, Stephen Brown (Jennifer) of Bethel, CT; Sharon Williams (Robert) of Monroe, CT; and Richard Brown (Lavinia) of Cambridge, MN. Harvey will be missed by his loving great-grandchildren Robert, Daniel, and Jonathan Williams; Kevin Brown; Erin Anderheggen; and Richard, Aidan, Jacob, and Sean Brown, as well as his great-great-grandson Landon Anderheggen. Friends may pay their respects to Harvey on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home at 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT.
