John Pavia, a Newtown resident since 1969 has passed January 1, 2016 at the age of 79. John was born in Faeto, Italy on February 16, 1936. He came to the United States in 1956 and met his soul mate, Thersina “Nella” Alagna Columbus Day, 1958 and made her the proud Mrs. John Pavia September 20, 1961. John was the owner of Pavia & Cavalieri Tile Inc. with his long time colleague Joseph Cavalieri. Along with Nella, he leaves behind his oldest daughter Luisa Pavia Olah, her husband Doug, son Eric and his late daughter Marilyn Pavia Imbimbo’s husband Ralph and two sons John and Luca., his sister Maria Gallucci and her late husband Alberto, sister Ann Tufaro and her husband Pat, brother Michael Pavia and his wife Rose and several nieces and nephews. He joins in paradise his youngest daughter Marilyn as well as his youngest brother Leonard and parents Anthony and Luisa Pavia.
