Beloved wife of the late Jay E. Sheppard passed away peacefully on Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Hospice in Branford. Born in New York City on February 28,1940 she was the only daughter of the late Katrina Senperes. She was a resident of Monroe, Westbrook and Southbury. She was co-owner of Clearview Inc. of Bridgeport for thirty-eight years until the time of her illness. Kathie loved to read and spend time at the beach. Most importantly she delighted in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her two devoted children, Sandra E. Fernandes and her husband Bones of Monroe and Rusty Sheppard and his wife Diane of Southbury; and three cherished grandchildren, Don and Steev Sheppard of Southbury and Katie Fernandes of Monroe. Services will take place on Thursday September 16, 2010, at 9 a.m. from the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on the Green, 175 Old Tannery Road, Monroe at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
