

Katherine “Katie” Fontneau, 23, of Monroe Connecticut, was tragically killed in a car accident on July 4, 2010. Katie was born in Stamford, Ct. on June 18, 1987. Katie was a kind, compassionate, gentle, and beautiful person with a true zest for life.
Katie was a proud UCONN Husky entering her final semester majoring in social work. She worked at Project Return in Westport, Ct. where she cared greatly about the girls she worked with. Previous to working at Project Return, she worked at Black Bear restaurant in New Haven. She leaves behind her family that she was so passionate about; her loving parents, Jon and Heidi Fontneau, her brother Michael of Washington, DC and her sister, Kelly of Monroe. She also leaves her grandparents, Fred Fontneau of Stamford, and John and Sharon of Bristol, Ct., and her Aunt Heather Duffy and Nathan of Bristol, Uncle Brian and Aunt Karen Fontneau, Kelsey, Kyle and Lindsey of Monroe. Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bill Whelan of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Aunt Cary and Uncle Rich Roth of Rogers, Arkansas and her cousins.
Katie also leaves behind her boyfriend and soul mate, James Regan of Hartford, Ct.
Katie will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 9 at St. Stephen’s Church 6948 Main Street Trumbull, CT at 10:30.
