

Leon was born on May 8, 1960 in Danbury, CT to his parents Helen (Gore) and Leo Rotella Sr. He is survived by his wife Theresa Rotella, his daughter Julia Rotella, his brother Robert Rotella, sister Dawn Rotella, sister Deborah Keller and her husband Bob Keller, his father Leo Rotella Sr, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen (Gore) Rotella.
Leon grew up in New Fairfield and moved to Monroe with his wife in 1991. His favorite hobbies included camping and bonfires with his friends. He loved cars, especially his blue Subaru WRX that he bought in an auction to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. He was a part of the CT Subie club for years, going to events with his friends who also adored their Subarus. He was also a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and St. Louis Rams.
Prior to illness, friends and family may remember him as an intelligent, athletic, and sociable man who could always put a smile on your face. He made his family laugh even during his very last days. Leon’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of VITAS Healthcare for their wonderful care and support.
Family and friends may visit at the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpke. Monroe, on Friday September 9th from 4-8 PM. A prayer service will be held at 8PM. Burial will be private.
