Lucille was born February 1, 1938 to the late Jenny and Louis Tolentino. Lucille began her first career as a cosmetologist at “Princess Salon” it was there that she met her beloved husband of 59 years, Carlo Gemignani. Together they ran the salon, and it would be one of many businesses they successfully ran together.
Lucille and her husband left the Bronx for Connecticut where she and Carlo embarked on the food business. Their love of cooking and family shone brightest at the “Red Rooster Deli” in the north end of Bridgeport. It was there they forged life long friendships that exist to this day.
While Lucille left the Bronx in her early 20’s, the Bronx never left Lucille. She was a tough and strong woman. Lucille instilled that strength in her family and loved them deeply with that same vigor. Lucille was a devoted mother and in turn was lovingly taken care of by her three children, Stephanie Dorn (Tony), Denise King (Tommy) and Steve Gemignani (Yota). She was a grandmother to five grandchildren, Amy Bresson (Tommy), Nicholas Brelsford, Gina Dorn (Steve), Anthony Dorn (Gabriella) and Christian Gemignani as well as great-grandmother to Adam Brelsford and John Finn. Lucille also leaves behind her younger brothers, Anthony Tolentino (Irene), Louis Perillo (Louise), a brother-in-law John Gemignani (Francine), and her sister-in-laws Eleanor Cook (Bob) and Sandra Tolentino, as well as many special nieces and nephews. Lucille was predeceased by her brother, Louis Tolentino and well as her niece, Jeanine Tolentino.
