Manuel Rodriguez

Manuel Rodriguez passed away on Monday, May 12th, 2014 at CT Hospice at the age of 83 (born 6/26/1930). He is survived by his wife of 58 years Morayma , his sons Manny and David, and their respective wives Cathy and JoEllen, his family Jaime, Carmen, Isabel, Suzanna, Simon, Miguel, Jose Marie, Jose Manuel, David, Javier, Christina, Giovanni and Iris in, Spain and California, also by his grandchildren Manny, Peter, Robb, Jonathon and Aimee. He was from the town of Carbello (La Caruna) province of Galicia, Spain. He joins his father Manuel, mother Consuelo, and his sisters Virginia, Carmita, Consuelo and his beloved daughter Isabel. He worked for Bridgeport machines for over 35 years, He played soccer for the VASCO travel team in Bridgeport CT; thus giving his grandchildren his competitive spirit where he cheered on delivering two CT high school Soccer championships and one 2011 NCAA Championship in Lacrosse. He loved hunting and gardening but most all his family for which he supported his wife and family with every endeavor. He always had a hand in helping neighbors where he lived for the past 53 years in Monroe, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 16th, at 10am, St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull, CT. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown, CT. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 15th from 4pm-8pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P.
