She was born on January 12,1919 in Woonsocket Rhode Island to her Italian immigrant parents, Maria and Angelo Turco. The eldest of four children, Mary took on many responsibilities at a very young age which included being a cigarette roller for her father and an interpreter for her mother. Mary was extremely connected to her siblings Josie and Jimmy ( twins in the family), as well as her youngest sibling Tom.
Mary met her soon-to-be husband Anthony (Tony) at the age of 19 when he was visiting his cousin who lived next door to her. Introductions were made and the courtship began with Mary’s sister Josie acting as chaperone. Later that year on October 29, 1939 Mary and Tony were married.
Mary worked at the Milford Thermostat Company while attending to her family at home. She made the best eggplant and was happy to feed any and all who would come to visit. She was a big Elvis Presley fan and her family loved to enjoy all his movies with her.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Tony, son Ralph & her three siblings. She is survived by her daughter Theresa Caputo, son Angelo Caputo (Mayra), 3 grandchildren Anthony, Angelo & Anthony, and many adored nieces & nephews.
