Michael Mathews

Michael R. Mathews of Monroe passed away on 12/28 at Danbury Hospital at the age of 73 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years Rosanne. He is survived by his five children. Debbie Toth of Monroe, Kris (Barbara) Mathews of Everett Washington, Jeff (Sue) Mathews of Newtown, Gregg (Betsy) Mathews of Newtown Shawn Mathews of Newtown. He is also survived by one sister Eileen Plavick, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mike was most proud of being a marine who served his country from 1954 to 1957. He then went on to work for NCR for numerous years and later became vice president for Waterbury Pen Co. for many years. He was a true trooper to the very end. Special thanks to all of the staff at Danbury hospital and Danbury dialysis, he was loved by all. Funeral Services will be held Sunday January 2nd at 3:00 PM at Spadaccino and Leo P.
