

Ruth Kathleen Ralston Oliver, aged 78, died after a long illness on July 3, 2014 at home in Oxford, Connecticut. Ruth was born January 21, 1936 in Stamford, Connecticut, the daughter of Frederick and Margaret Suden.
Beloved mother, sister and grandmother, she is survived by her son, Glenn Ralston and his wife Liane of Monroe, daughter Terry Ralston of Oxford, son Jeffrey Ralston and his wife Lily of Phoenix, Arizona and daughter Tracey Ralston of Oxford, sisters Marion Meury of Ridgefield, and Eleanor Suden of Bridgeport. She was the proud grandmother of Lauren Ralston, Neil Ralston & Kyle Gnandt of Fairfield, Jennifer Camp and her husband Nathan of Coventry and Scott Ralston of Monroe, Connecticut.
After graduating from Stamford High School, she married Lloyd Ralston and in the 1970's, the couple began a successful antique toy auction house which is being continued on by 3 of their children. She had a lifetime passion for antiquing; a feeling she passed on to her children who went with her regularly.
There will be a gathering for her at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home at 315 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, Connecticut, on Saturday, July 12, from 10am until 1pm.
