Sharon grew up in Clinton, New York, where she formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Rowan and Ruth Elizabeth Burrows, and her brother David. She is survived by her sister, Barbara DelMedico.
Sharon was a strong and accomplished woman who built a successful career, serving as a Vice President at Norfolk and Dedham Insurance Company. She was respected for her leadership, dedication, and strong work ethic, and she carried those same qualities into every aspect of her life.
Sharon was also an avid knitter and quilter who found great joy and creativity in her crafts. She lovingly created quilts for family and friends, often marking special occasions and milestones with her handmade gifts. Her quilting reflected her patience, care, and generosity, and it became one of the many ways she expressed her love for others.
Above all, Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Clifford, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership in Abington, MA before they relocated to CT to be near their daughters. She is also survived by her children: Richard Clifford; Alyssa Scalia and her husband Thomas; Joshua Clifford and his wife Patricia; and Caitlin Walsh and her husband Daniel. Later in life, Sharon received the incredible gift of reconnecting with her firstborn son, David, a reunion that brought her profound happiness and peace.
Nothing brought Sharon greater happiness than being a grandmother. She was the cherished Nana of 18 grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
In her final years, Richard cared for Sharon with extraordinary compassion and devotion, surrounding her with love every day. Sharon will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and her unwavering love for her family. She had a special way of making those around her feel supported, welcomed, and deeply cared for, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
