Stanley Peter Solek, Jr., 84, of Monroe, husband of the late Marie Zahor Solek, died peacefully after a brief illness at St. Joseph Center Trumbull. He was the son of the late Stanley Peter and Mary Kochiss Solek of Stratford. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an operating engineer and an explosive engineer and was a proud American. Stanley is survived by his three sons, David Solek and his wife, Vivian Lea, Kurt Solek and his wife, Susan Marie and Steven Solek, all of Monroe; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Roberts of Seymour; a sister, Theresa Susi and her husband Ben of Sebastian, FL and three grandsons, John and Peter Solek and Michael Ferrieria. In addition to his wife Marie, Stanley was predeceased by a brother, Sylvester and a sister Ann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 30th at 10:00 am at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church 707 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery 1056 Daniels Farm Road Trumbull. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday November 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe.
