Deanna Lee Fore of Snohomish, Washington was born on April 25,1938, in Kingsburg, California to Fred and Elaine Kern. Deanna was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her four children,13 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. Deanna was a woman of grace whose example, kindness, and strength blessed her family, friends and any who had the privilege of knowing her. Deanna loved to laugh, cared deeply and prayed fervently for those she loved, always had great wisdom when called upon to share it, had a selfless heart, and sacrificed endlessly to support others over the course of her lifetime. She leaves an indelible impact on those she knew and on those who survive her.
Deanna went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2024.
She is survived by her four children, Brent Fore, Denise Trone, Kris Berger, and Stacy Thompson, by her grandchildren, and great grandchildren and by her sisters, Janice Pedersen, and Caryl Matusich.
Deanna was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Elaine Kern, by her husband, Dan Fore, son-in-law, Bret Trone, niece, Lori Matusich, and great grandson, Jackson Gilbert.
Deanna was a devout Christian, spending a great part of her life in the ministry of the church, serving with her husband, Dan. As a pastor’s wife, she was a mentor to congregational members. She sang and played the piano in services, and
ministered selflessly by loving others in whatever capacity they required.
At home, she loved to play Scrabble, was a fierce opponent when playing any type of card game, was an amazing cook and baker, and made her home a place of warmth and safety for any who passed through her doors. While she was with us, she was known as Mom, Grandma, Gigi, Deanna, and Nana - but the truest description of who she was was that she was an angel given to us for the time she was here on earth. She was the personification of Proverbs 31 - a woman of wisdom, strength, character, goodness, and steadfastness. While she can never be replaced, her influence and the precious memories we hold of her will remain with us forever. Mom, to say you were loved would be an understatement. Words cannot express how much you will be missed, but we will carry with us in our hearts the best parts of you. Enjoy seeing the smile of Jesus when he sees you and says, “Well done.” Heaven is a better place now because you are there. Rest in peace, Mommy. We love you.
A celebration of life for Deanna will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Rose Hill, 13801 NE 80th St, Redmond, WA 98052.
A celebration of life will also be held in California on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel, 1588 Lincoln St, Kingsburg, CA 93631. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM.
