

Judith Elaine Wyndham passed away May 28, 2016, at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington. She was 69 years old. She leaves behind her husband, Nicholas Jay Wyndham of Startup, Washington, four children, 17 grandchildren, and many dear friends and relatives.
She was born February 4, 1947 in Crandon, Wisconsin. Her parents, Obed Paul Samuelson and Dora Thorne Wilson. She moved to Washington in 1963. Judy lived in British Columbia for a short time, then lived with Maire and Al Gueller, in Aberdeen, Washington where she finished high school. Al Gueller told Nick about the young woman staying in his home. Nick visited the Coast To Coast Store in Aberdeen, where she worked to introduce himself. Nick and Judy were married Dec 27, 1967 in the Mormon Temple in Oakland, California.
Judy loved to work in her garden and vegetables and flowers responded to her touch as manifest by driving by her home in Startup. The color purple was her favorite and she generally dressed accordingly. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a Seattle Temple matron and served as a family history worker. She served and was active in wards and branches of the Church wherever she lived. Nick and Judy made Startup their home since 2003.
Survivors besides her husband are sons Paul Wyndham (Gail), Snohomish, and Benjamin Wyndham (Keila), Spirit Lake, Idaho; daughters Stephanie Wyndham (Jay), Tiffany Wyndham, Startup, and Rebekah Socha (Damon), Spokane. Also seven sisters, Maire Samuelson (Chelan), Sylvia Boyd, Provo Utah, Sonja Cushing (Merle), Sultan, Ginger Crowthers (Frank) Ephraim, Utah, Connie,Valez (Ernest) Reading, Pennsylvania, Juanita Collen (Rob) Powell River, British Columbia, Canada, Margaret Pachner (Bruce) Santa Marina, California; two brothers, Dan Samuelson (Pauline) Crandin, Wisconsin, John Samuleson, Provo, Utah . She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Alice Samuelson, and her oldest son, Jay Wyndham.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at the Sultan, Washington Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14415 369th Avenue SE, Startup, WA 98293. Friends may call Thursday morning from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. The family expresses thanks to kind doctors, nurses and staff at University of Washington Medical Center, Bethany at Pacific Rehabilitation Center, and Providence Everett Hospital. Interment-Sunnyside Cemetery, Coupeville.
