Mike came into this world, February 16, 1973 and passed away January 20, 2018. He leaves behind his parents, two younger brothers, a sister-in-law, niece, two nephews, other family members and many friends. Mike was born and raised in south Snohomish County, which was a rural setting back then. Soccer and motorcycle riding were two things Mike enjoyed in his early years. Many a Friday night or weekends found him playing soccer or racing motorcycles. Introduced to hiking and camping at an early age, Mike grew to love hiking and backpacking in the mountains of Washington. From a young age and throughout his life, Mike also loved fishing lakes and rivers. He graduated from Monroe High in 1991. As an adult, he spent many vacations traveling on motorcycle touring Washington, California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, South Dakota, Montana, and Belize to name a few. He spent time with friends camping and hiking, salmon fishing at Hansville with his good friend Paul, and skiing Stevens Pass and Mt. Baker. He was a true outdoorsman. After graduating from high school, Mike worked several jobs as a laborer before starting a career with Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District. He worked for the district over 13 years. Mike started as Operator in Training and rose to Senior Sewer Technician. Mike had so many great things going in his life. He will be remembered for his kind manner and is in our thoughts forever.
