85 years old
South Pasadena, CA
December 12, 1934 - December 16, 2021
Carol Louise Reeves was born on December 12, 1934 in Pomona Valley, California to Roy
Daniel Reeves and Heddie Edith (Craig) Reeves. She was nicknamed Sissy because she was the
only daughter and had four brothers. She grew up in both Redlands, California and Pomona,
California. Carol graduated from Pomona High School in 1953. Carol met the love of her life,
Marine Sgt. Jackie Lee Majors on a double date. They were married 60 days later and recently
celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary!
Carol and Jack gave their lives to Jesus Christ their Savior at a Billy Graham Crusade in 1958.
There they met their best friends Jim and Doreen Craig who became a devoted and inseparable
part of their lives. They raised their children together and became family through the process.
Carol was a caring and strong mother and wife. She raised her two children as a stay-at-home
mom and was always involved in their lives, whether it was volunteering at the nurse’s office at
the middle school or supporting the local Booster Club. She never wavered in her support for
her children and friends in the good times or the challenging ones.
Carol fell in love with real estate early in her adult life, and became a realtor in 1979. It is a
testament to her passion and sales acumen that in Carol’s first year in real estate she earned over
a million dollars in sales which was an incredible kickoff to her long career in real estate. Her
enthusiasm for realty extended to acquiring and managing personal properties as well.
Carol had a strong work ethic throughout her life and is fondly remembered as a mover and
shaker, often moving so fast that end-of-phone-call goodbyes were omitted and she was on to the
next thing. Along with her quick business wit, she treated her clients like family, always looking
out for their best interests. Her loyalty to her family, friends, peers, real estate team and clients
was never ending.
Throughout her career she earned titles of: Top 1% of NRT sales associates from 1989-2019,
International President Elite 2007-2020, International President Premier 2011-2019, #1 agent for
Coldwell Banker in San Marino for 2020, and many others. Even with failing health she and her
incredible team had an amazing and successful year!
She is survived by Jack L. Majors of South Pasadena, husband of 65 years; son Todd W. Majors
and daughter-in-law Belinda Majors of Pleasant Hill, California; daughter Renee S. Tullar and
son-in-law David Tullar of Apex, North Carolina; brother Gene Reeves of Chico, California;
granddaughters Melissa Tullar, Rebecca Majors, Abigail Tullar and Alysha Tullar; best friends
since 1958, Doreen Craig, and her children Shelley and Darren Craig.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Majors, her parents Roy and Edith Reeves, and
brothers Ted, John, and Richard Reeves.
Two of Carol’s favorite charities are Samaritan's Purse (samaritanspurse.org) and South Pasadena
Educational Fund (spef4kids.org). Donations in honor of Carol are welcome.
