Dennis Ernesto Serrano

Dennis Ernesto Serrano was born on Tuesday September 20, 1988 to Salvador Ernesto Serrano and Hilda Guadalupe Serrano. He was born at 7:30 a.m. at Santa Marta Hospital in East Los Angeles, California. When Dennis was welcomed into the world he brought so much joy to his family which included his two older sisters Daisy and Erika. From the moment his family found out about his existence, they knew he would bring so many blessings into their lives. As his mother always says, “A little old lady once touched my belly and told me I would have a strong baby boy who would change our lives in many ways.” She said the lady told her this boy will bring so much hope into your family because he was born under a lucky star. Boy was that lady ever so right!

From the time Dennis was a young child, he was always very passionate and determined about what he wanted. He was genuinely, as some people have described him, “A kind soul with the heart of a poet.” Indeed, his passion for life and his love for humanity lead him to impact so many lives in such a beautiful way. Through his compassionate heart and his love of writing he believed he could make a difference in the world. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend who always made every moment special with his infectious laugh, even at the worst times. He always was a reliable kind-hearted person who was willing to go out of his way to help anyone.

On Sunday March 20, 2016, this young gentle soul was tragically lost forever. He will be loved and remembered for all the wonderful joy, he brought into our lives. He was so many things to so many people. We only hope that wherever he is, he knows the impact he had on all our lives and how much he will continue to be loved. Rest in peace Dennis! We love you!
