

HOWARD C. WESS was born the first and only son of Cella Jane (Harris) and Joe Wess on July 17, 1924 in Weleetka, Oklahoma.
Howard received his formal education in Weleetka where he graduated from high school early with honors.
Howard met Alma Lee Demery on the back of a school bus, fell in love and married October 18, 1944. The young couple moved to Pasadena, California where they shared many happy years with their three children; Pamela Jeanette, Howard Kenneth, and Dyana Sharon-Angela until the home going of Alma in October, 1962.
Howard was baptized November 2, 1962 and became a Jehovah's Witness, it was there that he met and married Mamie Lee Cannon in April, 1963. Three daughters were born to this union Annette, Suzette (twins) and Tammy. Howard was an active member of the Pasadena West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many, many years until moving to Port Hueneme to reside with his family Dyana and Willie Barron. Howard continued to further serve with the Oxnard Congregation as long as his health permitted.
Howard was an extremely hard worker and a microscopic welder in the aircraft/space industry for the majority of his working career. During his free time, he loved to fish and was known to take his children as well as grandchildren to the trout "fish" farm.
Howard departed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, held and surrounded by three of his children; Howard, Dyana and Annette. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Affectionately known as "Daddy Howard" – always a gentleman.
