Our dear mother, Martina Mares Lopez, was a wonderful and hard-working mother who was always there when we needed her. She left an impression on so many lives, from Hidalgo, Zacatecas in Mexico where she was born on November 11th 1940, her actual birth-date, to emigrating to California as a young adult with her siblings. Martina lived her life full of grace, love, and gifted us all with her beautiful song. Sadly, our mother passed away on June 20th 2023, at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her parents, Luis and Eluteria Lopez and her younger brother Jose Luis Lopez and is survived by Hector Lopez Gaona and Christian Trasvina her sons, Zoe Elisa Trasvina her grand-daughter, and her siblings, Lucy Lespron, Sara Rentz, Catalina Figueroa, Conrado Lopez, and Filiberto Lopez.
