

Tony Bowerman, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away February 6, 2016 from a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bowerman, sons, Greg Bowerman and Brandon Bowerman, parents, Nelson Bowerman and Ursula Bowerman, and brothers, Adam Bowerman and Guy Bowerman.
Tony was born March 24, 1958 in Alhambra, California. He grew up in Arcadia, California and graduated from Arroyo High School. After high school, Tony pursued a career in plumbing. He attended college and passed the contractor’s license exam. Before starting his own business, he worked as a gas station attendant. He also worked as a plumber at Alcadia Plumbing and Speedy Stone’s Plumbing. He started his own business, Bowerman Plumbing, in 1981. As a job creator, he provided his employees with generous pay, free meals, medical insurance, and flexible schedules. Tony was a very hard worker and did most of the harder work himself.
In November of 1978, Tony met his wife, Sandra, on a blind date. He waited for her four years while she attended UC Davis. Later she moved back to Arcadia, California where they continued their relationship. In 1989, they married and made their home in Glendora, California. They gave birth to their first son, Greg, in 1994. In July of 1996, they had another son, Brandon.
Tony took care of his children full-time. He drove them to and from school, prepared their meals, and maintained the home. The family enjoyed many trips during the years including Hawaii, Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Lake Powell, Kanab, Sequoia, Catalina, San Diego, Orlando, San Francisco, and the Central Coast.
Tony’s hobbies include spending time with family, reading, hiking, weight lifting, camping, fishing, shooting, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He also had a great passion for home improvement. In his first home, he remodeled both bathrooms and installed a patio. He painted inside and out, and re-landscaped the yard. In his current house, he remodeled the kitchen and the pool. He installed a patio and made planters across the back wall. He painted inside and out. He took great pride in the finished product of his labors.
