Dearest Aunt Bobby, Matthew and family,My deepest sympathies at learning of Uncle Bob's passing.  I can still smell his cigars and hear his boisterous laugh.  He had a way of making us all smile and laugh at life.He holds a special spot in heaven.... Love to you all.Jan

Bob along with my day Jean Guy spent many hours casting the North West Miramichi river in search of the elusive atlantic salmon.  Bob often succeeded in finding at least one!  We both consider ourselves lucky to have known Bob as a great fisherman and a fine person!  He will be missed but his stories cherished for years to come.

Our sincere sympathies to the Tilden family on the loss of Robert.  We just heard of his passing on the weekend.  He was a fine man and we enjoyed seeing him when he visited the Grand Cascapedia for his Atlantic salmon fishing.  I think he really enjoyed his last trip here in July when he was able to visit the high falls and told stories to the people who were with him as I know they enjoyed listening.  Robert along with his brothers, Ted and Walter, spent much of their time here fishing on the Cascapedia over the 30 years we have been a Society and they will all be fondly remembered.

I want to thank those of you posting for their kind words of sympathy and ad, while late, my father's specific request was to have, in lieu of flowers donations sent to the Atlantic Salmon Association. (Unfortunately I was away at the time of his death and had his written requests in my home, hence the different message above).

Farewell Bob.

Bob was a wonderful sportsman, also my Godfather. He taught me so much about fly fishing one weekend in the summer of '67, I'll never forget that weekend. He was a great family friend, always stopped to visit when passing by Cobourg. He will be greatly missed. RIP Uncle Bob.

A great sportsman who was a dear friend and mentor to me, especially during my Tremblant years, when I was so warmly welcomed and supported by the Tilden family.  Joanie and I send our sincerest sympathy to you all.

I am at the cottage at Youghal Beach and I remember the summer you spent down here with all the children many years ago.
