March 3, 2025 – Age 19
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the untimely passing of Damian Rene Martinez, age 19, of Alhambra, California, who left this world far too soon on Monday, March 3, 2025. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Damian was the beloved son of Gabriela Trevizo and Sergio Martinez. He is survived by his loving parents, who cherished him beyond words, and whose lives will never be the same without him.
Damian's life, though brief, was nothing short of inspiring. His infectious smile could light up any room, and his warmth was felt by all who knew him. Charismatic, intelligent, and full of life, he was a young man who made a lasting impression with every encounter. His passion for life was reflected in everything he did, from his love of football—particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers—to his deep admiration for his family, who meant the world to him.
He believed in the power of a firm handshake, giving one only with his right hand, a symbol of his unwavering sincerity and respect. Damian spoke with a wisdom beyond his years, and his words often carried the weight of someone far older. His life was a reminder that age does not define maturity or depth, and Damian was a living example of what it means to live with purpose, passion, and love.
Damian’s family was his everything, and in return, he was everything to them. He was the heart of his household, and the love he shared with each one of his parents will live on in their hearts forever. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind will forever be remembered.
A viewing for Damian Rene Martinez will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Montebello, located at 913 West Whittier Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640. His funeral mass will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the External Service Location, 4509 Mercury Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90032. Damian will be laid to rest on the same day at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 Potrero Grande Dr, Rosemead, CA 91770, where he will find his eternal resting place.
Damian may be gone, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His love, his light, and his laughter will continue to inspire all of us, as we hold on to the beautiful, unforgettable soul he was.
Rest in peace, Damian. You will always be loved.
