Aimee "Mickey" Watkins Barton

Aimee "Mickey" Watkins Barton, age 46, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. She was born in Rome, Georgia to Bobby Gene Watkins, Jr. and Kathy Diane Worthington Watkins. She graduated from Cross Keys High School in Atlanta. Her collections included Barbies, hippos, Betty Boop, Coca-Cola, and Mickey Mouse. She was a proud bargain shopper and was always finding gifts for those she loved. She was very smart and thoroughly enjoyed winning board games, especially Scrabble. She loved to cook for and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Jazmine Zyga (Lexi) of Fleetwood, PA and Lilleigh Burbank (Gwen) of Adairsville, GA; grandson, Max Zyga; fiance, Corey Stephens of Montevallo, AL; sisters, Kristi Hall (Darrell) of Alabaster, AL and Shannon Betsill (Isaac) of Toledo, OH; nieces, Hannah Hall and Willow Wood; best friends, Vicki Myers Fernandez and Wendy Kaye Marchesano; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1370 Kingston Highway, Kingston, GA 30145.

"Addiction takes the soul of the addict and breaks the hearts of everyone who loves them." Mickey had a huge heart and her untimely death is tragic to all those who love her.
