Beverly Rachel Leach

Beverly Rachel Leach, age 84, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Beverly grew up in Marion, Alabama, the only daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Drew. She was a graduate of the University of Montevallo with both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. She dedicated her career to Elementary Education and most of her years were spent as a first grade teacher at Helena Elementary School. Beverly was a member of Spring Creek Church where she was very active in the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. She would do anything else to get out of cooking, including visiting yard sales, woodworking and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Luann Leach; grandson, Zachary Leach; and brother, Leroy Drew. Beverly is survived by her husband of 62.5 years, James Leach; son, Justin Wade Leach (Melanie); grandchildren, James Leach, Jillian Crumbley (Chris), Samuel Wallace, and Samantha Woods (Albert); great-grandchildren, Brantley & Carson Woods, James Crumbley, and Evelyn Leach; nephew, Lee Drew (Ann); and a host of other nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Beverly will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, AL 35115, with her funeral service to begin at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, Alabama.
