

Age 84, of Alabaster, entered into rest on December 15th, 2017.
David was born in Christmas, Florida on February 8th, 1933. He graduated from Orlando High School in 1950. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War conflict. Upon his discharge, he worked the remainder of his years for the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller in Atlanta, Puerto Rico, Tampa, and, lastly, Sarasota, Florida where he retired. David was a long-time member of the Holiday Rambler RV club and traveled extensively. The American Legion of Florida and the Florida (Bushnell) National Cemetery benefited from his many years of volunteering. David was a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge (60+ years), The Shriners International, and Order of the Eastern Star. His greatest joy was dining out and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Canada, the mother of his 3 children.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Dianne Horton Canada; children, David Wayne (Glenda) Canada, Sue Canada (Butch) Walker, and Rick (Martha) Canada; grandchildren, Kallie Canada, David Richard “Doc” (Jess) Canada, Linda Walker, Christopher (Sydney) Walker, Nadia (Adam) Harless, Matthew (Kari) Canada, Sarah Canada (David) Criswell, and Paige Canada; and great-grandchildren, Trinitie Canada, Christian Canada, Eli Walker, Charlotte Walker, Connor Harless, Caylee Harless, Caydence Harless, Isabelle Canada, and Charlie Canada.
A Masonic Memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Friday December 29th, 2017 with visitation one hour prior at Rockco Funeral Home, 3175 Hwy 25,Montevallo, AL. Rev. Stan Dawson will be officiating. Private interment at a later date at Alabama National Cemetery.
