Douglas Franklin Whitley, age 80, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Douglas was born April 29, 1941 in Nashville, TN to Edith Scott and Jack Whitley. He grew up in Texas and later made his way to New York where he was a radio DJ for many years. He later moved to Alabama where for many years he was a security guard for a gated community. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy Whitley in 2009. He loved his dogs and was a big Yankee fan. He also enjoyed traveling and going camping in his RV.
He is survived by his daughter Shannon DiPace and his close friends and neighbors.
A memorial service for Douglas will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
