Edward "Eddy" Victor Ruwe, age 52, of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Eddy spent his young life in Huntsville, Alabama. After several moves, he graduated from Estero High School in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was proud of being a security guard. He enjoyed watching wrestling, NASCAR, and football as a Tennessee Titan and Auburn University fan. He was thoughtful, caring, and had a kind heart. He was particularly close to his mother his whole life and their joyous reunion is a comfort to his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Victor Ruwe; his mother, Billie Jean McGaughy Ruwe; and his uncle, John Jones. Eddy is survived by his brother, Joe Ruwe (Nydia); aunt, Shirley M. Jones; cousins, David Jones (Tina), Joel Jones (Dawn) and Denny Hotchkiss; and his close friends, Andy Gollop and Jimmy Axford.
A celebration of life for Eddy will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Alabama.
