Evelyn Henson ("Sister") Hicks September 10, 1915 - May 15, 2016 Passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Hicks, son Don Hicks, brothers Emmett and Jess Henson, great-granddaughter Sarah Johnson and son-in-law Dan Johnson. She is survived by daughter Nancy Johnson and son Barry (Conchita) Hicks; grandchildren Terri Johnson, Randy (Julie) Johnson, Donna (Paul) Robertson, Zach (Jennifer) Hicks, Alan (Lane) Hicks and Brad (Lauren) Hicks; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday, May 18 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. Funeral is Thursday, May 19 at 11:00 am at Rockco Funeral Home with burial in Montevallo Cemetery. Rev. Todd Burr officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dogwood Grove Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Evelyn Hicks, 56 Church Drive, Montevallo, AL 35115.
