Jerry Wayne Sanders, age 67, of Alabaster, passed away on March 15 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Faye Sanders; his son, Samuel Wayne Sanders; two sisters, Joyce Massey and Carolyn Dawson and one brother, Johnny Mac Sanders. He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as four brothers and one sister. Mr. Sanders was a highly decorated Viet Nam Veteran. There will be a graveside service for Mr. Sanders at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo on Tuesday, March 21 at 10:15 am.
