Jo Ann Thompson, age 71, of Pea Ridge, Alabama, passed away in the arms of her loved ones on June 18, 2014. She attended Thompson High School and was a mail carrier for 29 years. She was a member of Christian Mission Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Laoma Cardwell; daughter-in-law, Kristin Thompson; and her brother, James Allen Cardwell, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Farrell Thompson; sons, Allen Thompson (Brenda), Timothy Thompson and Michael Thompson, all of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Erica Nicole Smith (Jayden) of Perry County, Alabama and Charles Matthew Thompson; great-grandson, Jacob Adam Thompson; brother, Raymond Cardwell (Myra) of Pea Ridge; and brother-in-law, Sonny Thompson of Pea Ridge. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Alabama. Bro. Tommy Bass will officiate.
