Joan Dale Cowart

Joan was a very loving and doting wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and friends deeply. Her infectious laugh would put a smile on everyone's faces. She enjoyed vacationing and spending time with her family. Joan had a special gift of compassion and helping those in need. Her love of the Lord was deep and she was passionate about sharing that with others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cowart; son, Talon Cowart; and her sister, Linda Dixon. She is survived by her daughters, Tressa Genord (Ed) of Riley, Michigan, and Tonya Holmes (Ken) of Alabaster; grandchildren, Trey Cowart (Raven), Teres Cowart, Storm Holmes (Keelie), James Cowart, Kayla Genord, Ansley Holmes, and Brandon Genord; great-grandchildren, Thaxter Cowart and Hudson Holmes-Smiley; brother, James Tidwell (Arlene); sister, Gail Blanton (Vonny); brother-in-law, Dick Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Joan will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Church, 3694 Highway 58, Helena, Alabama.
